Q. When I turn on my computer, a screen pops up and and says that i need to select one of the operating systems. I have TWO windows xp home professionals on my computer, and i am running very very low on memory. I tried to reboot my computer, but I THINK they BOTH will be rebooted if I do so. You would need to check via msconfig where both where installed onto your C Drive. Run - msconfig - boot.ini Running Low on Memory has nothing to do with having two O/S's installed on your PC. If you are sure you do not need that install anymore you could remove the folder it points to from your C drive and then you would need to edit your boot.ini to remove it from your loading options.
